Clearing the Nail and
Staple Chamber
If, while using your Cobra
™
staple
and nail gun, it becomes necessary to
clear a jam from the staple chamber or
track, follow these instructions:

With the bottom of the gun
facing away from your face and
body, open the staple chamber by
squeezing and pulling the plastic
track release straight down away
from the base of the gun and
sliding the track back.(Fig 1)
(Note: the jammed staple or nail
may cause the track to be harder
to slide out than usual. Once the
staple or nail has been cleared,
the track will resume its normal,
free operation) Loose staples or
nails will be expelled from the
chamber.

Clear any remaining staples or
nails from the track and chamber
area.

Reload the Cobra staple and nail
gun and continue using.

UNDO THE POWER SORCE AND OPEN THE STAPLE FEED PRY OUT THE JAMMED STAPLES "SMALL SCREWDRIVER SHOULD DO THE TRICK"

Unplug the unit ! Remove the cover if possible then carefully use pliers or vise grips to turn the gears that drive the punch cam backwards to get the paper out.

Hello. Begin by disconnecting the air hose. That way you can not get hurt while removing the jam. Get a pair of needle nosed pliers and remove each of the jammed staples. They will pull out I assure you. Then Use a little WD-40 or compressor oil to lubricate the working mechanism at the firing head. IF you must loosen up the mechanism to remove all of the staple parts be sure to use the correct size allen wrench. You have to unscrew the screws at the bottom of stapler and then manu ally move gears to unjam stapler.

There is something jammed at the head of the stapler. Unjam.

There is a silver screw near the back bottom (where you load staples) and you must unscrew it. Completely remove the small bolt and the silver base will pop right out. This base is the track where the loaded staples sit while in the chamber. Just remove the jam and re-install in the reverse order. Works like a charm now.

First, are you using the recommended staples for this stapler? Many heavy duty electric staplers don't use "standard" desk staples. Second, try unplugging the stapler, unloading the staples, and if possible, reach a couple of fingers into the stapler and try manually pushing up on the staple head to see if you can get the driver blade to come down. Does it come down smoothly, or does it seem like there is something stuck in there? If you aren't sure about disassembling the unit (my usual method-but I'd recommend having the parts diagram handy), try using a flashlight to look at the underside of the staple head, where the staples come out - can you see anything stuck in there? If so, you might be able to use a small knife blade or small dental pick to get jammed staple pieces out.
