I purchased an SD card for my LG 8500 Chocolate Touch and put music on it, but when I put it in my phone it says it's adding music but it doesn't!! What am I doing wrong?
You must Format the card 1st. Take the card out, slide it into the larger SD card it came with and install that into your slot in your PC (if you do not have a Mini SD slot, then maybe your camera or a friend does). You will have to delete everything on the card, then FORMAT the card, slide it out of its holder, reinstall it, turn on the phone on, now you are ready to open 2 Windows Explorer windows of the same size- then Drag-N-Drop... or, use a program that came with the phone, if you're lucky enough to have received one. I have the blackBerry TOUR and it didn't come with an application like that, so I drag and drop. I do have 2 Creative Muvo Brand mp3 Players which are 4 yrs. old and they came with a cool Application, each- but this $400 BlackBerry did not. Good luck and I hope YOU have a Card reader in your PC. If not, go online to your Favorite PC/High-End electronics website and find one which will fit in one of your 'open' 3.5" slots (Floppy Drive size- usually have 2 per PC face...?) and it will install to an open USB link on your motherboard (unplug the PC before taking off the side panel or outer cover of your PC and definitly before attaching the USB link. You may have to link a Molex power connector to the back of the Memory Box, also. If you do not have a 3.5" or a 5.75" slot open for an Interior Installation (the 5-3/4" bay will need a compatible 5-3/4" to 3-1/2" bay faceplate to install in the larger bay- which MIGHT come with the Memory Reader itself) then try to find an external USB Memory Reader. It may be a little more expensive, but it is a 1 link connection. I hope you get what you are looking for.
