Hi, it seems the power supply has gone but need help. Who can repair this. Boston agents not willing to assist due to box being opened.

first thing to check out before purchase is
is there a competent brother service agent that can repair computer operated sewing machines
next is is there regular supply of electronic parts available from the service agent
next is how stable is the power supply and will you need a power stabilizer or uninterrupted power supply(UPS) to prevent damage to the electronics
IF your research shows as yes to these sort of expected problems then get the electronic version
if any answers get a no, then get the base model machine as any sewing machine mechanic should be able to fix it

Sounds like you blew a cap or some sold state device in the power supply section of receiver. Open her up and start looking and smelling - replace bad parts and cross fingers.

If I was there, I wuold repair this for you in 30 minutes or less! LOL
Your issue is that the subwoofer will need to be taken apart and then have the AC Jack attached to the Power Supply Board re-soldiered to the board. No big deal.
You may be able to find a TV Repair Shop near you that can do it for $25.00 or less.

hi i'm looking for that solution too but found by myself you just need to remove the 2 front speaker grille just pull off and after remove the eight rubber that retained the grille the screws is under these rubbers and after gently pry the front cabinet

Hi First make sure your main power supply is working fine,. Open cpu cabinet cover then pull cmos cell from motherboard for 10 minutes .Reconnect ATX power connector from smps power supply to motherboard. Then check. If still same then make sure smps power supply box is fine it is on the top of the cpu it is square box where power cable connected from main outlet. Change it then it will work again.Also make sure motherboard is not ground with cabinet cover. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

Thanks for using FixYa. To check what has gone bad you’ll have to open the back of the unit and check the backlight inverter board. The inverter is the power supply source for the backlights. If that’s the issue then it’s always better to replace the inverter board completely just to avoid any future issues. If not then check the power supply board however, it seems to be the inverter board as the sound is still working fine.Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

This may due to power supply is not connected properly or power supply itself gone bad. check and repair/replace the power supply may solve your problem.
