You have stuck contactor or a bad Tstat. Call a service tech and get a free estimate on repair. To check to see if it a bad contactor turn ac tsat to off position and see if it still runs. Open up service panel and check contactor. if possible most Goodmans have a covered contactor unless you take the cover off you can not tell Rus

Have ice build up on line leading into outside unit and ice buidup on inside units on my goodman air conditioner

Turn the system off on the thermostat and set the fan to "ON", this will thaw the ice faster if it hasn't already. When the system has completely thawed, which could take hours sometimes, depending on how bad it's frozen, then turn system back to "Cool" and start these checks>

1. Make sure filters are clean!
2. Make sure there is proper airflow through vents.
3. Make sure outside condenser fan motor is running.

If you have either no or minimal airflow, check the indoor blower to make sure it's working, if it is, the evaporator coil is dirty restricting the airflow. Be sure the system is thawed because the ice will also block the airflow!

If the condenser fan motor is not running, either the capacitor or the fan motor will need to be replaced.

If your filters are clean, you have good airflow through the house, and everything comes on like it should, it will most likely be the charge of refrigerant in the system is too low and you have a leak somewhere. If you have to have it charged, be sure the system is thawed before the technician gets there, he will not be able to do anything while it's froze.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Goodman Manufacturing co Model ck60-1c serial no 0001496410 , last night my downstairs was coold but my 2nd level was realy hot was not coold air this morning i went outside i found a piece ice on my unit...

If the fan motor on the outside unit is still coming on and the blower motor on the inside unit is still working properly, and your return air is not restricted (sometimes just a dirty filter), then your problem would be the charge in the unit. If over or under charged, the unit will freeze up, not just outside, but inside too. Have someone charge the unit with refrigerant and you should be okay. If any of the other problems exist, it will have to be looked into more. Hope this points you in the right direction. Good Luck!

I have a Goodman A/C unit model # GSC130361F A and a Evcon

The indoor fan should cycle with the outdoor part, make sure the thermostat is not set to fan "ON" and if the fan is on "AUTO" it could be a wiring issue or a fan relay that is stuck.

Fan motor or capacitor has gone out. Running the unit with the motor not running can cause damage to your compressor

Ckl60-1l outside fan runs good, compressor do not run

Reasons for icing up are dirty filters, dirty indoor evap coil or low on refrigerant. Check these. Your compressor is probably overheated. Let it go for a couple of hours if you are in a hurry. Run a water hose over it. Rus
