Question about HP LaserJet P3005n Printer
Also make sure that the JetDirect card is recognized by the printer as well. These have been known to fail for various reasons. Using the front panel you should be able to print out a configuration page that will include the settings for the JetDirect card...if you don't see this information turn the printer off, reseat the card, power the printer back on, and then try again after about 5-10 minutes. If still no luck, try a different network card to see if the issue is with the particular card that is installed in the printer.

Tips for a great answer:
A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by
resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer
from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and
re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns
on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again
once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on
the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).
