Question about LG KU990 Viewty
Hi Just baught this LG KU990 phone second hand, i dont know what network it was on if it had 1? Also the phone is open to all networks so im told? I use an Orange sim & 20g Card, I know i need to make a new profile when switching networks (I think it was Vodaphone) and know how to make one to a certain point, but when it comes to name, password, my personal home PC internet settings to add wireless to the phone from my router.
I have Installed the Disk, DivX, Sync, Click Setup Wizzard (so far everything ok) then click on connect (havnt changed any advanced settings) then click Connect - Nothing!
Do I need to add information to Internet settings?
If so please give step by step instructions.
E.g do I need to know my home PC IP address, Domain, Subnetmask Etc?
Also i can not receive/send or even view applications, it is as if the phone is blocked somehow?
I'm thinking iv baught a contract phone which has been blocked could this be the case?
Arrghh for a low income family man like myself the price on a phone that wont do anything BREAKS MY HEART & My Bank Balance :-( .
I would not recommend this phone to anyone in my area of Carmarthenshire unless they like complicated expensive average phones. IMO!
Thanks for any help - Steve
When you insert a new simcard for your phone you should get all the internet and MMS settings sent to your phone, and then you install them.
Go on to the internet settings then click "profiles" and then the menu key and then "Edit". Check that everything there is looking okay, especially check the bottom option called "Access point", if this says the old network then click it and change it to the default network you are currently on.
This worked for me, but if it doesn't help I suggest taking your phone to the Orange shop and getting their oppinion on it.
Good luck :-)
