Could you post the brand and model.
Step1. plug the stick to your computer. - your computer will detect and install the stick.
step2. open my computer or computer, you will find this from your desktop or from start menu. In my computer you will find your memory stick as a removable storage device.
step3. double click to open the memory device. if you receive a volume is not formatted message, let the software format the drive, this may come on the first time use. After the volume is format open the device, inside you will see noting at this point.
Step4. moving/storeing files on the device, You can move any files into this device, first find the file you wish to move into the USB stick, right click on the file and select copy, then go inside the removable storage device folder and right click on the white space and select Paste. This will copy the file inside the memory stick. Ones the copying is done you have the same file stored on the stick and also on the computer. This can be done to any direction, you can copy files from the stick into the compute and so on.
Note: Its always wise to keep a copy of important files stored on your computer, the memory stick can get lost, broken or easily stolen, if your only copy was on the USB stick, you would lose your file / picture / etc.

Disappointing introduction to your company. My query did not make any reference to a web cam.The question relates to a Memory Stick manufactured by Sandisk and carries model identity cruzer 16Gb.
All this information was given on the application form! As I said earlier.there were no instructions provided and I do not want to risk losing info. by making a foolish mistake. Would you please run through the set up process and the transfer of photographs to the stick. Also, how do I retrieve that material later? Thank you Ken Poole
This response seems to answer my query, although I have not yet had time to try it out. Initially I was concerned that I was being asked again for information I had already supplied but I am impressed with the speed with which the solution was provided. Thanks Ken Poole
