if you can access the screen you can google check Apple ID then type the serial number to heck if it iCloud lock you can find serial number or imei number back of the iPad or in sim try if it's 3G iPad then type in and see if the iCloud is locked or not if it's not you can restore Ipad by iTunes on your computer turning the iPad off by pressing holding the power button and in-certain the charge till iTunes logo pop up on your iPad and then on your computer then restore the iPad

Your gmail wil not show if it's sent via gmail you will need to set up your gmail in you mail settings on your iPad that way you can send and read your mail using your iPad mail app you will find your mail in your settings hope this helps

You need to go to Settings / Mail... etc / then create an account using your email details and those provided by your email supplier .. eg your ISP or Gmail etc.

You should set it up as an IMAP account to then replicate your Laptop email.

Hi Thomas you can reset your password at gmail.com and then re-enter the Password on the iPad under > Settings > Contacts, Mail, Calendar.

This should allow you then to receive email as long as the account has been setup as a gmail account on the ipad.

Check your gmail mail settings on the iPad. It seems you may have the wrong settings because typically your mail server settings would be set to "pop.gmail.com" when using Gmail on an iPad.

After creating new account on google.com.tap settings on iPad,tap mail,tap gmail to delete old account..tap mail again on top left then tap add account,tap gmail then enter info for new account.
