Question about Maytag 24 in. MDB8600AWS Jetclean II Built-in Dishwasher
The plastic "nut" that holds the wheels on the top dishrack has broken. I cannot find P/N 99002783 anywhere. I even tried Maytag and they said that the part is no longer available and that there is no replacement. So far my only solution is to buy a whole new top dishrack assembly at $130.

first off check to see if there is an endcap either the front or back of the track. if so remove the cap. check for end mount screws. if no screws the endcap opens up the route for popping the plastic cover off and exposing the screws.. see diagram(may not be exact model but it gives you an idea)

handle was redesigned with a metal rod through the attachment points to prevent breaking. the handle and latch comes as a complete assembly (you don't have to put it together).
