SOURCE: I have a Kenwood Audio
assuming they did sound correct there are some possibilities:
your wiring, if you live a humid area it might be that your wires are a bit corroded at either the speakerterminal or at the receiver terminal. Simply cut of the corroded part and reconnect.
If your surround speakers are on a stand the wires probably hang down and after some time, specially with thinner wires, they might get a bit loose in the connection. Simply reconnecting them will solve it.
Resetting the receiver will sometimes help as well, most of the times this is mentioned in the manual or on manufacturers site.
let me know if solved.
SOURCE: how to hook up a kenwood audio-video surround
hello all you need is a good pair of RCA cables.
Use the audio output on the TV
run it to the VIDEO 1 input on the receiver
as for your DVD player vcr etc you can either run them directly to the tv as it will output whatever sound is playing to the receiver.
or
use the receiver as a video switcher and connect your components directly to it.
remember your receiver will need to be set to the input you use. ie: video 1 / dvd etc..
Hope that helps
