Why does my TV keep cutting out when insert module comes on screen

Hi,

this sounds like an internal error. Please remove any accessories from the tv prior to power cycling it and then retest the insert action. If still having issues, then you can use a factory reset. Otherwise, you might need to set a home repair appointment to diagnose any possible hardware issues or with recent firmware updates.

Thank you.

My bush 32 inch LCD keep displaying on the screen (common interface module removed) when ever I am watching the TV. I don't have the receipt and the box it came in with so Argos or bush helpline can't help...

I found this far-from-definitive answer more of an explanation, than a solution.
http://community.screwfix.com/threads/ci-module-what-is-it.47854/

Possible Solutions:
~If you removed a card from the PCMCIA slot of your TV, put it back in.
~If you recently changed the Pay TV channels you subscribe to, either added OR removed some, contact your TV channel supplier, it may be a problem on their end.

Service center saudi arabia

Have anyone tried to repair this TV? Have anybody removed CI module out of it? If not, there should be some loose contact with this module connections. If you wish to get some details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Timeslide / Flipcard, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name / model number / IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

My 2006 BMW convertible top wont re tract. the yellow light comes on and nothing. the manual doesnt say want to do to fix...?

The convertible top is controlled by the Convertible Top Module (CVM II). This module contains the processing, controlling and monitoring electronics for the complete top operation.
The CVM II communicates with the General Module over the K-BUS for operation of the top storage cover and windows. The CVM II is fully diagnosable and contains fault memory for storage of monitored faults. Diagnosis is carried out over the K-BUS with the DIS or the MoDIC.
To put all of that "technical jargon" into plain English, If your convertible top is malfunctioning, you must BEGIN diagnosis by scanning your onboard computer network with the proper equipment.

What is No CI Module ?

Hi

CI stands for common interface, there will be a slot on the side of your tv for a CI Module to be inserted, this allows you to view encrypted channels (such as ESPN) that you have to pay for using servces such as topup tv (uk).

It sounds like you have being trying to watch a encrypted channel without a CI Module inserted, this would most likely be the cause of the error message you are receiving.

Hope this helps

File CI.d11 missing

I would recommend popping in your Vista CD, and running a windows repair option. if you're getting a blue screen on boot, it's probably the core integretiy module that's been messed with.First make sure you can boot off of the DVD

If it's not booting beyond the BIOS (a bunch of black screens typically with white text), I might recommend getting a copy of your BIOS software and reflash it. You'd need to find out what BIOS you have first and if it's a prebuilt, you should probbably check the manufacturers website and try and find out.
