Question about Samsung Televison & Video
I would think that this is a HDCP issue which concerns copy protection. If your signal is from a cable source, try to unplug it and see if it works. I would suggest to try other sources such as dvds that you know have been working before. If you still get the issue after changing sources you may want to unplug the device from the power and the cable and leave it for at least 4 hours to reset . See if it helps.

This is most likely a "cold" solder joint on one of the components, i.e. capacitor, inductor, ic ect. If you are handy with a solderiing iron and disassembly and more important reassembly, then you could reflow the cold joints. this will help.
