Schwinns often have a date code on or next to the head badge that you call a plate. That will tell you the month and year of manufacture. You're not going to gain anything by finding out what model/year it is, as parts are not dependent on either factor, but here's link to a page that has multiple Redline catalogs. You'll have to do the work of going through them. You could also search for "redline bmx forum" or similar and post the pic to see if someone knows the model/year. You just stated the model. As for year, it's not that important, but all you have to do is Google Haro serial number to find some potential assistance. You can also post a pic on a BMX site, as almost all bikes have different paint/decal schemes for different years.

The model is written right on the frame, unless it's been repainted. The info you are looking for will not be found with the serial number.

You can find that information at "Schwinn date codes". Put that phrase in your search and follow to that site
