Hi

Go to Start - Run and then type msconfig - press Enter and you will see your system configuration box.

Click on the Startup tab at the top of the box. This will show a list of all programs that load automatically when you start your computer.

Look down the list for any program that is associated with TV or Radio loading onto your machine. Highlight it by clicking on it and then click the disable button.

Click Apply then OK and close the box.

I would also recommend you download the Free Edition of SuperAntiSpyware from this link http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html

This is a superior product for detection of spyware. Once you have installed it be sure to download the latest definitions file - then run it - use the option to do a full scan of your system and follow the instructions to quarantine any infection it finds.

Restart your computer and your problem should be gone.

If this helps please remember to rate my answer. If the issue remains please post up a comment and I will continue to troubleshoot this for you. Many Thanks.

JVC TV LT-42X579 LCD TV 42 in.Does this TV have a Lithium battery for maintaining memory, similar to PC computers?

No. It has no such battery inside. Its memory IC is non-volatile type, and need no back-up electric charge to retain the data, even after it is switched OFF. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Were is adio red and white for sound when laptop conects to baird 42 inch

Hi there,

Connecting a laptop to a tv is usually achieved by the use of an audio cable with a 3.5mm stereo plug on one end, and male Red / White RCA connectors on the other end.

Plug the 3.5mm stereo plug into your laptop "headphone" socket, and connect the Red / White RCA connectors to your PC-in audio RCA sockets.

If you tv's PC-In only supports the 3.5mm audio socket, then purchase a lead with 3.5mm stereo plugs on both ends.

Cheers

In my philips SAA1732 fm is not working, if put scan, it scanning my no channel were is found. i connect to outside aerial but it still not detecting any fm stations... what i should do sir, please suggest...

You probably need to install a proper fm aerial and diplexer, is your aerial a TV aerial or a radio aerial?
You need to set it for the correct TV system in the software to get the audio from the TV, there will be a number of options like PAL I or PAL M or N. etc They have different sound settings, you need to choose the correct one for your system.

I need schematic for my GR9D adio amp. i am converting this amp for multi use. i need to know where the inputs are and spkr outputs are.

Cool I wanted to do the same thing with the board.I havent had time to try it, but here it goes. The schematic can be found here. The file is named Philips-GR9D.rar and is a pdf ~ 44mb for the whole schematic for the tv. Check around page 40 or so for the schematic. Its in another language though. Seems you should only need 12v (regulated) and a variable audio level seeing the amp looks at a fixed level. Connector 1401 (1-5)
  1. ground
  2. mute
  3. Right Channel Input
  4. +12 volts
  5. Left channel input
Connector 1449 (1-5)
  1. Right channel out
  2. Ground
  3. Ground
  4. KEY (No pin)
  5. Left channel out
Connector 1418 looks to be an extension of 1449 and from what i can tell the lower "divided" part of the board (eg the high voltage side from connector 1400 to the transformer) appear to be power for the audio circuit derived from around the fly back area of the tv. (around 160v i presume). In other words I think you only need connector 1401 and 1449. The only other thing seems to be that it cannot be bridged (for subwoofer use) as is (sharing a common ground on the output). Wish you well.

I have a s-video output and hooked it up though a cable to the yellow rca on the back of the tv. how do i get that to work and watch the computer screen on tv

1. This depends on the ports on your laptop and tv - if you have a vga port on your laptop then connect a cable to that and go to either the RGB or VGA on your TV. You can also get RGB to scart conectors so ther eare a lot of options! try your local Maplins for the cable (or look on eBay). Do a google image search to identify the connectors you have.

2. High-definition TV sets have several options of input ports and cable connections available. It's even possible to connect a computer to most HDTVs to get its picture quality. If your laptop computer is designed so it can plug into a standard computer monitor, you can easily plug it into an HDTV set, and you may have a number of options to connect it with. You must connect the video and audio separately in most cases. jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Laptop computer
  • HDTV set
  • Audio and video cables
  1. Step 1 Check the output ports on your laptop computer. There are three types of ports that can work with this connection: S-video (a circular port with pins in the middle), VGA (a square/trapezoid like port with pins in the middle and two screw pins on the sides) and DVI (a longer version of VGA).
  2. Step 2 Compare the ports on your computer with the input ports on your HDTV. DVI has the best quality, but not all TV sets will have these. Most HDTVs will have VGA and S-video (VGA has the best quality).
  3. Step 3 Connect the computer's output to the TV using the best cable connection that you have.
  4. Step 4 Connect the laptop's audio output to the TV's audio input that works with the video. In most cases, this requires a stereo-to-RCA cable, which has the single rounded plug with two black bands at one end and the red and white RCA plugs at the other.
  5. Step 5 Turn on the laptop and the computer and tune the TV to the correct input channel. Tune it to "Computer" only if you used the VGA connection; if you used S-video, tune the TV to that input channel.

Hello i have a medion 5.1 active sound system and i am trying to install it to an acer 5335 laptop but for some reason it will not work. i am using the usb method can you give me some advise and help...

hello Paul,

I understand that you wish to connect an laptop computer that has a standard stereo out(2 channels), earphoe jack or adio out to an active stereo system that supports the dolby 5.1 multichannel souround sound.

That is where the problem starts. The active sound system has more input channels than the two stereo channels given by the laptop, so connecting them via adaptor (audio out from laptop, earphone-like, 3.5 mm' male' jack to red and black chinch plug,'male' version to stereo L(left) and R(right) channel in at the active system) may provide you with extra stereo sound enhancement(like any other amplifier would), but no real surround sound..

To solve this, you would need a stationary desktop PC with an extra surround soundcard
that has all the multi channel out in it, as there is no chance to upgrade your laptop with such devices I am sorry to tell you that you perform an impossible task to get surround sound from your laptop.
