Question about Patton 20" CVT Performance Air Circulator, Gray Fan
So i have a stand up fan, typical fan, the motor goes but the blades dont turn. it was working fine and all of a sudden it stopped. well the blades stopped the motor kept going!
See if the fan blade set screw is tight and if it is then see if the motor is turning or humming if its humming and not moving then the end armature bushings have went bad.

There is usually a pin in the shaft of the motor, that corrosponds with a slot in the fan blades, it sounds to me like either (a) the pin somehow came out, or (b) the slot in the blades is rounded. Hope this helps
