Question about Dell 924 All-in-One InkJet Printer

Changed cartridge cant delete a document so wont recognize my printer I changed the Dell 5 black cartridge and it shows a document in the queue but wont delete and now i need to print something and even though it recognizes the printer on the control panel as my default printer it wont let me prnt anything and the documen deleting wont delete, not sure what to do

Restarting the computer will usually resolve this issue.

Unplug the printer's usb cable for at least one minute, plug it back in then go into control panel add/remove hardware follow the prompts and ensure that the hardware checks out ok and is working properly, run a spyware detection program to remove any malicious adware or spyware on the computer a certified site for this if you do not posses a program is trendmicro "housecall" it is a free scan that will detect and identify any malicious infections on your machine and prompt you to remove them. The scan takes about 20 minutes this should allow the printer to function again also you may want to scroll throught he hardware remove install list of hardware to make sure the driver is installed if there is a yellow ? or ! next to your printer s name the driver is not installed update it or reinstall the driver.

Cant print using Dell A920 printer on my imac. printer set up shows driver is correct I think and the printer name is correct.


So clearly the Macintosh sees and recognizes the printer. WIll it let you queue a document to the printer? After you do, you will see an extra icon on the Dock that represents the printer queue. Open it up and see what is happening to the printer job. If it disappears, it was sent to the printer and the Mac thinks it was printer successfully; if it isn't printed then you have either a bad printer or a bad printer driver. If it stays in the queue and goes to "hold" state, look in the log to see what the error was -- the Mac is unable to negotiate with the printer to get your file printed.

My 5 in 1 printer is saying no cartridge when I just replaced it and when I do get it to print it's not printing that good at all kind of gray like it's out of ink, it has a new cartridge


  • Click open START then CONTROL PANEL then PRINTERS AND FAXES
  • If asked, click the link that says view or modify existing printers
  • You should get to a window that shows a list of printers that are installed on your computer
  • Look for the printer icon with a tiny little checkmark in a black circle to the upper right (see image below). This is your default printer, that is, it's the one that prints if you don't manually select a specific printer. defprint.jpg
    Note how the checkmark indicates that the Brother HL-2040 Series is my default printer
  • In most cases, this is the printer you are having trouble with, but the following procedure can be applied to any printer on your system.
  • Double click open your default printer to view the print queue printqueue.jpg
    Note that there are two documents waiting to print in my print queue
  • If the print queue is empty, skip the next step
  • Click and pull down the PRINTER menu from the top of the print queue and select CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS. This will delete anything that's stuck in the queue cancelall.jpg
    After clicking CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS, it may take a minute or two for the queue to completely clear
  • Click and pull down the PRINTER menu from the top of the print queue. If there is a line item that says USE PRINTER OFFLINE and there is a checkmark to the left of it, click it once, otherwise, click CLOSE.
  • Now go to the printer and power it off, wait a few seconds and power it back on.

Canon 4150 wont print , goes into queue


Have you gone into the queue and deleted the print jobs and started again? Do you have any error lights? If so there could be a hardware problem with the printer.
Try taking out the toner and putting it back in. Sometimes that will force the printer to reset intself.
If that doesn't help then you may have to delete the printer from the system and re-install it.

Print queue will not clear after printing


dear sir

this is a typical usb inkjet printer problem

just follow the steps

open notepad

and copy paste

net stop spooler
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.shd
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.spl
net start spooler

and save as delete.bat file on desktop

run this file and reboot the machine

and run this file again

now print queue will get cleared

Printer won't recognize ink cartridge change


changed black K cartridge with new one but still shows black toner empty! Could toner cartridge be faulty?

Take out the cartridges
disconnect printer from computer
Turn off the printer

On the computer cancel documents in queue
if using a straight USB connection, delete all instances of printer. else remove duplicate printer icons.
reboot.

Reconnect printer (swap cables if not detected)
Insert the cartriges

Try printing again

Check your windows firewall or your antivirus.
Disconnect that for a while and delete all pending documents (queue).

Send a new doc to print and see what happen.
Usually those program are blocking the communication between printer and computer.
If this is your case, set a rule on your antivirus program.
