Question about Lexmark C534N Printer

Lockups and 900.00 Service RIP software errors on C534N printers.

We have 38 Lexmark C534n Color Laser Printers in our building on the LAN. Every few days on some of them they just totally lockup. Even the menu function on the control panel is unresponsive. Another problem is every few days on some of them the fans are running very loudly and they have a "900.00 Service RIP software" error on the front panel display. The only resolution we currently have for either of these issues is to cycle power on the printers. They are all running base firmware LS.SW.P026avc-0 and engine firmware LS.SW.E045-0. Lexmark tech support has been no help at all. Any help out there?

Are these printers hooked to surge protectors? 900 rip error is a software communications error and can be caused by any pcb in the printer. any surge, lightning strike,ect can cause the nvram chips to have problems these errors can be intermitten or continuious depending on the damge to the nvram. have you tried isolating any of these to see if it still has the problem off the network?

I get a warning message that the transfer belt on my C534n needs replacing. The specification says 120,000 prints, I have just run the diagnostics report and have done 28,000 only! Any ideas?

I have a Lexmark C534n color printer error message comes up 120.10 service fuser error. What does this mean.?


It means there's an issue with the fuser, and the fuser likely needs service or replacement. I would not recommend doing this yourself if you haven't done this before, take it to a repair shop.

Service Fuser Error appears when the fuser does not warm to the required temperature. For this error on this Lexmark model C534N, the manual states you should power off the printer and power it back on, and if it is not plugged into a wall power point, change it to a power point mounted directly on the wall. Personally, I never got a Lexmark printer to work doing this, but this is in the manual. If this won't help, and the printer is under warranty, you should log it in with the servicing company.

If the printer is out of warranty, your next option is to change the fuser which costs around $350, so I think you would be better off getting a new printer unless you find a second hand one on Ebay.

Lexmark c534n printer, warning for depleted color units do not go away after replacement


The supply counter must be reset manually after a photoconductor unit is replaced. The C534n says Cyan low (0%) was printing, now won't print.


If you're still going to print in colors, unfortunately, it won't print and there's no way for the printer to ignore your out of ink level unless you change the cyan ink. I understand how costly that can be but you can still make the printer print if you configure it for black-only printing. Here's a link to download the User's Guide for the instructions on how to configure printer for Color Lock Out Mode. http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/c53x/en/ug.pdf . Scroll to Printing, page 50, for the instructions. Since you won't be printing in color, you have to remove the color supplies. The User's Guide will give you instructions for that as well.

Wrong Media loaded error - tranceparencies


hi!!! in that kind of problem maybe the paper sensor was defective and it can't detect the kind of paper you loaded to your printer.
