This is a emachine, it is running windows vista. It does not bring up the POST, it shut down before it get to the POST. I used a power supply test to test the psu,and the test came back fine. I just put in a brand new motherboard socket 775, kept the old cpu, and still shuts down. I also try booting it up with no memory or hard drive and still shuts down. I also put a new cpu fan on and still shuts down. I don't know how to test the cpu? thanks for your response!! Mark

What operating system are you running? Does the pc load the o/s all the way up before rebooting? (ie; does it bring up the desktop before rebooting?) Also, does it display any messages before rebooting?

If a computer cuts off as soon as you start it up it is some times the power supply. You may have added something to your computer that when it gets loaded it pulls just enough wattage that the power supply overloads. Let's say you have a 250 watt power supply...if you computer pulls 255 watts it will overload the power supply and shut itself off. Try getting a Power supply with more wattage output.

When i turn my computer on it shuts off immediately and the blue light on the power button flashes until i unplug from the wall. i have emachines t 6522

Looks ugly. I'm not a tech person, but this is certainly no software problem because there's no time for the BIOS to load. (The BIOS is a little program that is run as soon as you turn your PC on and checks that everything is OK before loading the operative system, i.e Windows, Linux, etc)
Hmm... might be an electrical problem. How "immediately" does it turn off? Can you see any words on the screen? It could be many things, like a bad mother board or hard drive. If you can't see any words on the screen, *********** board might be burnt.

My emachinecomputer died model et1161

Emachines are prone to take the motherboard with the power pack when they go bad.
The are blogs on the wb for Emachines and every body states the same thing.. DON"T FIX IT REPLACE IT WITH A BETTER BRAND COMPUTER
I had one and did replace it. Emachines have no inline fuses to save the mother board as others do. That is one reason why they are so cheap to buy. Too many shortcuts in this brand of computer you see

EMachines t3626 shuts down at random

You may be dealing with bad or overheating with your processor or memory. If possible, try swapping out your memory chips to see if that does the trick. If not, you will have to try swapping out the processor (much less likely you'll be able to swing that).

Emachine will not power up

By nothing else, from a technical standpoint this would mean literally nothing, the CPU fan, power supply fan, aux fan, disk drive not spinning up, etc. My experience with EMachines is their motherboards aint the best, have been known to take out hard drives and other peripherals to the mother board. If you are technically inclined the first thing to do is to bare out the system, Power Supply attached to the Mother Board w/ Cpu Monitor and Keyboard no Hard Drive and no Non esential boards installed, very carefully remove the memory and start it up all should be fine except it should give you a long beep from the PC Speaker indicating the Mother Board is aware there is no memory installed if it will not do this most basic of tests this is not good. If it does give you a health beep continue to install one item at a time, first the memory, the display should, if working, tell you there is a boot failure, of course, the hard drive is not connected, do so and keep on testing. Without knowing what type of mother board you have, most likely an AT with integrated peripherials the process to determine exactly what the problem is would take hands on trouble shooting. If you dont get the beep indicating the mother board cant determine if memory is installed and truley nothing else is on it is more likely the mother board. There are several good ones online that will fit your case if you want to go this route. Or is it time to upgrade ?

Emachine solution

I don't see the previous post. Why do you need to replace your memory and mother board? How old is the emachine? Some of the P1 and PII systems had mother boards riveted in. If it is older than a P4 it would be best to replace the computer.

Emachine T4060 power supply

I have to assume you mean
Will the cooling fans run if it is still powered by mother board and disconencted from the mount ,such as processor or chipset ??

Yes it would , but is a very dangerous thing to do ,as it could easily short against anything within the case
Be more specific with your problem maybe someone can help you better
