hello rosenb.... since the check engine light is on, take advantage of that. it means that the car's computer has an error message stored for you. drive to most any AAMCO shop or autoparts store. they will scan your car's computer and tell you what the computer is saying the error code is. Joe
check replace the micro switch of your rice cooker it is the switch that is connected to the cook and warm button....check for the heating ellement it is the coil that heats to do this open the bottom cover of your rice cooker you can see a round shape fillament examin whether this fillament is not brocken and is connected to the power source
In the top cover of your rice cooker there is a sensor that controls the cooking circuit. Most of the t\ime what happens is the wire in the hinge area breaks due to the opening and closing of the lid. I even had to repair my own rice cooker by cutting away the damaged wire then soldering a longer new wire in BOTH wires. I also added shrink tubing over the 4 connections on 2 wires.
It may simply warm up before it begins the cooking process, or you might have somehow set it incorrectly, so that it simply warm something. It might also have worn out after a year of regular use.
This a bad unit. You sould return for an exchange. There is thermo strip inside to control cooking time and to change the stage of ON/WARM light when it reaches the calibration point depending on the weight of rice to cook. Now it is not working.
