Press the flower button to enter macro mode - it is used to shoot close ups of flowers or small items.
Press the flower button again to get out of macro / close up mode.

when you are in close up mode, use the LCD instead of the viewfinder since viewfinder will be off center and won't produce the right kind of pictures in this case.

I have a canon power shot SD1000 and the USB cord to connect it to my computer. I have done that and turned on the camera, but nothing.....

Thanks for using FIxya.......
Before connecting your camera, you will need to install the driver which came up with your camera. Then you are asked to connect it to the computer.
After installing it, you can connect your camera anytime....
Good Luck and have a nice day.
rating the solution is highly appreciated.

How to use the selftimer on canon A560

Technical devices get sometimes so complicated that they are useless. What I have been seeking on my ShureShot 560 camera for the last two years is a self-timer. I select it in the menu, press the menu button, and no self-timer again. Which one of the thousands of combinations the camera can supposingly accommodate is going wrong? Is there a trick everybody else knows omitted in the Guidebook, or my camera is defective?
