Question about Hitachi C10FCE2 10" Compound Miter Saw
We have a Hitachi Compound Miter Saw Model C10FCE. Once plugged in, the saw immediately runs until it is unplugged from the power source. Releasing the on/off switch does not shut off the saw. It even runs in the up position. We have checked the micro switch, on the handle, contintuity is good. Any ideas would be helpful. This is a nice saw but very seldom used and now is dangerous!
The on off switch has a contact that has probably fused together from making and breaking causing an arc. You may try giving it a good 'wrap' with the back of a screw driver to free it, or replace the switch.
