Try looking for the code in the user manual or in the glove box. IF you cant find it then you only option would be to take the stereo out and get the serial number off it and then you would have to call the dealer to get the code. Try an audio shop, sometimes the work closely with dealership and can help you out

I have an 97 acura cl 2.2 and my radio is showing an error and is asking for a code, what do I need to do?

Take the radio out and you will find a serial number on it and call the dealer and they will give you a code to activate it, your manual will tell ya how to relearn the radio with the new code.
This happens every time the battery goes dead.

I replaced the battery on my 1998 acura cl 2.2 and now the radio does work and is asking for a code.. where do I find this code?

You have to tear into your center panel (guides online, not too hard), and remove the stereo. On the back of the stereo unit itself you will find the code. Then write it elsewhere!

Radio code

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code.

I bought my Acura 2.2cl used, and have no CODE or idea what the Code is to re-activate the stereo after the battery died!..What do I do, and also who thought of this brilliant idea??

what you need to do is bring your car to any acura dealership and what they do is pull the radio (or take it out your self and take it in to them) and find a serial number on the radio. with that number they can access the radio code for your car ..

Providing you have all the relevant information, the only FREE source for ACURA codes is here

If not then you will have to try your Honda Main Dealer or a Decoding Service...but it won`t be free

Radio error on Acura

We had the same problem. As advised from another website, we unhooked the battery and hooked the cables together for about 10 minutes. This reset the radio and allowed us to put in the 5-digit code. Now we're jammin'!

Radio error on Acura

you need to take the neg (-) battery cable off to reset the radio. you can only enter the radio code 3 times incorrectly than it will lock up. i think you can pull the back up fuse from the under hood fuse box for 10 seconds and that will also reset it.
