Some times this happens with hp laptops and can be resolved by updating the bios. Go to the HP website and check the drivers for you model and see if there is a newer version of bios. Also run the diagnostics on it and it will test to see if it is a fan problem or mother board problem.

The laptop hp 530 overheat while connected to power

When the CPU overheats then it will shutdown (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down.If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes this problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged withdust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use acan of compressed air to do this.

Hp 530 laptop having problem with bios password i lost of mine .but still all works fine for me.but now i facingsome problem related to cpu fan that its automatically goes off as xp boots .i might be...

Usually "flashing" the bios will help. If you can go to HP's website and search for your particular computer's drivers, there should be one for your bios chip. Run that, and it should remove the password. It will reset it back to the factory default settings.
Another way to remove the password from the bios is taking apart the computer (may void warranty, just so you know) and removing the button sized battery from the main motherboard.
Good Luck!

Hp 530 laptop turn on laptop and nothing displays doesnt fully boot up

I had the same problem, the screen would not come on, i could hear the fan running, but the screen would not boot up. I took out the harddrive on my laptop and used an eraser, yes, a childs eraser, and i rubbed it over the gold prongs that you will see, there is usually a bunch on them side by side, just rub the eraser over the prongs and then put the hard drive back in your laptop and put the cover back on with the screws, hopefully it will boot right up.....good luck........

My HP 530 is running extremely slow. Would a new processor fix this? sblahana@gmail.com

A new processor would help, I would leave that as last solution. I would first get more memory and also a free registry cleaner like Eusing Free Registry Cleaner

Screen does not come on

Hi, connect another screen (crt or lcd) to the video output to see if the internal circuitry works ok. If it does then your fault is either the cable to the HP screen or the circuitry inside the screen. If you have no picture on the other screen, the fault is inside the notebook.
