Cooler part ven-tlateur

Well, there is a cooling fan inside... is that what you mean? They do go out eventually, but usually they make an annoying noise first. First, try a vacuum or "duster" compressed air can to blow out any dust that could be blocking the fan.
Fans are pretty cheap, but getting into the laptop to replace the fan is a long job.
You need a lot more information here, because "Sony Vaio" is just a family. You need precise model number and possibly the serial number as well, before you can get the part.

Replace Grafik Card

The graphics card is a part inside the laptop, to replace it you would have to either open the bottom cover of the laptop or take apart most of its casing.

In most cases the part is integrated to the mainboard and can not be replaced in your case it may be possible to remove the card and install another one in its place.

My Sony Vaio pcg 3C2L's fan is always making horrible rumbling noises, like it is overheated and a ball is running between it. even if i only turn it on for five minutes.

Hi would i suggest is do not turn it on at all, while you can get a cooling pad for you laptop it does not work that well. Please take it to a repair shop inmediately. Sony and HPs tend to overheat a lot and the problem is that the video card on the motherboard goes bad and you will have to buy a replacement is the most expensive part rather than just the fan+labor. I hope this helps.

Sony Vaio vgn-fs640w does not power up nor does it

I went to the Sony Vaio support site for your model specifically and they mention a battery recall. There is a place on the site requiring specific information about your system and your battery to see if you are eligible for the recall. I would try this route to see if it resolves your issue. If not, I would say it is a blown transistor and you need to replace the motherboard. This means buying a new system, as Sony VAIO laptops are very proprietary and hard to find parts for.

Good Luck,

Sony vaio fan is making a grinding noise, how can i fix this?

The sony VGN-S460 seems to have an inherent problem with their cpu fans. It is apparent that the fan uses a ball bearing system which over time becomes worn and causes the grinding sound.

The only solution is to replace the entire fan assembly as they are inseparable.

Cpu fan malfunction

Hello Chris....i highly recommend you dont "pry" on anything and it have it serviced by a qualified tech. The vaio incorporates the heatsink and fan as a unit, It's a 2 wire fan that is temp. controled from 5v and up. You can take a vacuum and place at the ventilation opening and remove some of the dirt & dust that has accumulated inside, this will help. The cost is around 100 buxs for a new fan & sink...Sony part # 1-763-483-12. Attached is a pic of the unit..; Also note: a depleted battery will effect fan operation as well.
Hope this helps and will fixya up....
