I think that is because your old pc was a different operating system than your laptop. So the printer might not support newer operating systems.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Nothing happens when lap top is plugged in. tested power soarce and its good. i think the owner spliced the adapter and ran 110 ac straight into it. ( i found evidence of this in room w/laptop)

If what you say is the case and its more than a couple years old it wont be worth fixing. The data of the hard drive may be able to be recovered. If you by a new computer ask the vendor to copy the user files from your old disk to the new computer. Good Luck!

My epson r285 wont recognise compatable inks

My Epson R285 will not recognise compatible cartridges, mainly the black.I ran out of black ink and installed a compatible cartridge but it did not recognise it.To get the printer running I had to buy a genuine one which worked.I then ran out of all the other colours soon after and installed compatible ones which were accepted.I have now ran out of the black again but the printer will not accept the compatible cartridge. How can I solve this problem as the printer has accepted black compatibles before.
Thanks Padgy

Microsoft works 9 word

that may be a compatibility issue from XP to Vista.

but to save a file with a password, usually when you are about to save it, you go under tools or options and add the password there

Photosmart 3310 is on network but not recognized wirelessly

Sounds like another Vista Bug, i would check the HP site for this issue and if its under warranty, contact HP. If you have alot of Blue tooth devices hooked up, it may be that its trying to use another device in its place or the signals are getting crossed, im not positive.

Its like when you have to many network drives all hooked up and you plug in a USB device, Windows pops up those anoying bubles saying its detected, but in My computer it doesnt show.

So bassically you have to right click my computer, manage, disk management listed uder storage, right click on the device or drive and change the drive letter to something like " W" or " Z" or anything not in use.

It may be a siomilar case with your bluetooth, youo may have to much stuff connected. Try redoing everything like you have so many other times before, and then limiting how many bluetooth devices you have connected at the same time. see if theres a difference.

Hope this helps.
