I had this same problem with a HP Deskjet C4480 inkjet printer. This was happening when I would load one A10 (9x4) envelope at a time.

The problem was solved when I loaded many envelopes at a time. Don't know if this will help but what do you have to loose?

I have a Brother HL-5150DN. When printing envelopes from manual tray, the printer takes the envelope partially in, and then stops.

if you have done a lot of enevelopes, most likely the pickup roller got paper fibers on the roller and does not have as much traction. try cleaning the roller with isopropal alcohol if that does not help, the roller will be probably need replacing.

Printer HL 5370 DW is wrinkling all envelopes. Is

If it's not wrinkling regular plain paper, then you need to tell the printer you're printing envelopes. Envelopes are thicker than letter paper. When you tell it to print, make sure you click on "Properties" and set the job for "Envelopes". Also, make sure the guides are set to fit the envelopes snugly.

My Brother HL 5250DN indicates paper jam when in fact ther is none

You problem is more than likely in the fusing assembly in the rear of the machine. The Brother HL5250 is famous for having bad fusers. Open the back door and closely examine the lower fusing roller (orange roller). You will more than likely see that it is crinkling badly or the clear outer cover is delaminating on the roller. Sometimes you'll need a flashlight to see the delaminating but it will look like the clear outer sleeve has a bunch of clear oil under it causing it to ballon out in spots when rolling. Only solution is a new fuser. Sorry for the bad news but better than not knowing.

Hope that helps you. :)

Cannot change the rollers due to crinkling papers

You problem is with the fusing assembly in the rear of the machine. This series of Brother are famous for it. If you open the back door you can get access to the fusing compartment. The fusers aren't cheap though, around $100 to 125.00. Cheaper to buy them from Ebay than through a dealer (and I am a dealer) as there are folks that are just taking the machines apart for parting them out. Just make sure you go with a new fuser, not used.

When printing envelopes, they feed in about 1/3 of the way and then stop. They worked before but are now having issues.

Hi, try it again and look where the envelope stops, do not remove it. Look at the farthest the envelope went in for an obstruction ei. paper, lever, rollers or guide ramps that could snag the end of the envelope.

Bends envelopes in printing

Most laser printers have an "S" paper path. They cannot help bending paper. I would suggest you print lables instead of envelopes if you send several letters. If you only send 1, hand address the envelope. Not elegant ut it works.

Can't print from the MP tray?

When you print labels or envelopes you need to select the correct tray from the print menu. (File print or ctrl P) or the printer will think the normal paper tray is being used.

You can force the printer to change the tray after the print has been sent by pressing the continue button on the printer, just make sure that the normal tray has no paper in it.
