Dell Inspiron 1200 laptop

I have a dell inspiron 1200 laptop. It will not load windows. A blue srcreen with memory dump comes up each and every time. what is the problem?

  • LeeMohler Mar 17, 2008

My Dell Inspiron 1200 won't load Windows. When I turn it on a Dell logo comes up and is shortly replaced by a blank screen with a cursor flashing in the upper left hand corner. Nothing further happens.

Sounds like you have a bad Stick of ram.If you have 2 sticks remove one then try to load the operating system. If that doesnt work replace it with the other one and try to boot.If you are not sure what ram is leave a comment and I will explain. If neither work buy a new stick of ram and that should take care of your problem.Rate me if this works!GOOD LUCK!

I have Dell inspiron 1525. Anytime the Blue Screen comes on which "Physical Memory is dumping" such message comes and system restart itself. I have tried Windows XP, Vista and Win-7. Same problem occures...

Most 1525s have 2 ram modules, try them one at a time see if anything changes. If not then try this:

that is a memory dump, try to remember what hardware or software did you install or uninstalled recently, if you can log-in on windows try uninstalling or reinstalling the hardware or the software. if it fails, run the windows recovery on the cd and repair the windows installation.
