Question about Frigidaire E57NB60ESS (NG) Grill

3 Answers

I have a Frigidaire 5 burner gas grill, natural gas. I recently had to replace the 3 burner part. When I put the part in, it fits perfectly; however, when I light the grill, flames seem to be coming out from the gas valve regulator rather than from the holes in the tube. Is there something I did incorrectly? What can I do to correct the problem? Thanks Terry

Thanks for the reply. I dont think it is a gas pressure problem. It is a natural gas hook up and gas is fine everywhere else in the house. Also, this happens on all three tubes. The gas is coming out fine. The flame seems to be shooting from the back of the control know rather than the tubes. Thank for your help.

The gas pressure is good. Seems like the flame is coming from the hole where the top of the burner tube goes in and that the gas is not traveling down the tube. Did I do something incorrectly? and how do I fix it?
    Thanks,
    Terry

Hello,

I will suggest you re-adjust the gas valve on the unit, it seems there is leakage somewhere on the unit. check properly to locate where the leakage is coming from.

Take care.

Did you use any sealant on the connections to seal them? IF not, go to your local hardware store and pick some up. When there find a sealant that's approved for use with gas and follow the directions thoroughly so as not to have any leaks.

Well it sounds like you have a leak in the system Terry or the control is bad or you have a clogged pipe. If the same answer is given multiple times, it is worth looking into. Bad sealing at connections is the problem almost all of the time when installing pipes of any sort.

Hello Terry,

Thanks for contacting Fixya.com

I got the scenario you are facing. It sounds like a switch problem. Check the regulator and have the gas company perform a pressure check. Thats it.

God Bless

I would like to convert a grill that was used on natural gas back to propane. Can I just purchase a regulator and hose and be good, or do I need to change anything else on the grill?

Burner orifices must be resized or adjusted to accommodate higher pressure LP.
Air shutters should be opened all the way to allow maximum air to gas ration.

Looking for replacement parts for SPG90B Campcheif Big Gas 3

I looked around online and could not find anything for my gas grill. My burners all disentergrated. I found Walmart is a good source for cheap generic grill parts but only at certain times of the year. I recently replaced 3 burners on my gas grill. The new burners were build like a trombone so one size fits any grill. The metal looks a lot better than the original equipment. At $10 a burner I am back in action!

Meridian 5 burner trouble

Yes you can fix it. Carefully remove the screws that hold the panel where the burner knobs are, There are 3 screws on each panel under the side shelf. There is another screw up underneath the face plate as well. Once the screws are out pull the face plate up and out so that all the tubes are disengaged. It should rest about 2 inches tilted back. Now remove the grates and burner covers and inspect the burner tubes. You will most likely find that spider webs or hornets have blocked off the gas flow to the burner. carefully clean every burner tube out and put everything back. You also may want to use a bit of sandpaper on the ignitor tip. Put everything back together and you should be good to go. It seems all Ducanes attract spiders on the burners...

Tec grill problem

Hello,

If mositure gets into the ceramic burners, then yes it is time for new ones. Was your grill also converted over to accept the new gas? Or another thing it could be that spiders are clogging the burner orifice.. If you contact a local dealer on Tec gas grills or someone that can service gas grills. Might be able to help you.
