Download program I just bought a new computor with vistahome and it won't let me install my printer.What can I do Thank you Gaston

Here is how to install your printer with the new computer
1-go to start control panel 2-click on printer 3-click on add new printer 4-follow the instructions 5-place cd with printer drivers inside computer install drivers 6-if you do not have drivers go to www.dell.com 7-go to support enter your printer model they will give you the drivers to download

maybe your disk is corrupted, or your disk is full. try to download the driver at lexmark.com and there you will find your driver

please log in to the safemode of the windows(press F8 button to get options) in safemode logon go to add remove hardware or system properties , remove all the printer drivers that have been installed. and restart in normal mode.

go to the below and download the EXE file for the driver :

Closed program. Reopened Home screen, new map downloaded and installed as it should. Thank you for asking.

Make sure all the other drivers are removed before installing the new one.

Run the installation CD or download the printer program from the internet.

If you already have your printer installed and it is not working

Try doing this
disconnect printer from computer
cancel documents in queue
if using a straight USB connection, delete all instances of printer. else remove duplicate printer icons.
reboot & reconnect printer (swap cables if not detected)

vista can not work on those older systems. change it to xp-os, then re-load the printer driver software.

Go to HP web site and download and install full Vista software and driver package for your printer and install
