If you run Windows Media Player on your PC and connect the MP3 player. Once connected, select a file you want to remove on the right hand side, right click and select delete.

Alternatively, you could format the player by connecting the MP3, accessing My Computer, Right clikc on the MP3 and select format

I bought an ipod 2gig nano with 117 songs downloaded. I like maybe 30. how can I delete the other songs?

Step 1: To Delete the songs you don't like from iTunes library: Launch iTunes > Click Music mark > Select My Music > List your music as Songs > Select the songs you don't like > Click Delete to remove them. Step 2: Connect your iPod to computer > Sync the music from your computer to iPod with iTunes

Music

You can sync the songs from your iPad to your Itunes library then from there onto you your S3. You would have to connect your s3 to that same computer and transer them over

How do I delete songs or bad files? Is there any

The easiest way to delete songs or files on your Sansa is to connect it to your computer, open up "My Computer", double-click on the Sansa, then find the files inside the Sansa and delete them using Windows Explorer. Note that if these files are also on your computer's hard drive, and you're using a syncing tool (such as Windows Media Player) to sync songs from your computer to your Sansa, they may be copied back on your Sansa next time you sync, so you'll need to either delete or move the songs on your computer's hard drive, as well.

Whether you can repair a bad file depends on the contents of the file and the nature of the damage. If you believe that you have MP3s that are corrupted, there are utilities out there which will attempt to fix them. Google for "repair corrupted mp3" (or substitute "mp3" with whatever file type you're trying to repair) to find these utilities.

I can'y delete the folders on my Samsung YP-T9J

On my YP-T9 I choose format and it deletes everything. Of course, I don't use it for pictures, videos, etc. You can format it either with WMP, Samsung Media Studio, or Windows Explorer. Only takes a couple minutes -- in fact, it's a lot faster than deleting the songs via WMP Sync.

Empty song list

Here's what happened: When you first synced your player to Windows Media Player, you may have set up the automatic sync option. When this option is selected, Windows Media Player will add EVERY song, picture, etc from your Library on your computer to the player. Now, every time you sync you device, it adds every new file from your computer into the player automatically. It will even delete songs from your player that were on there before.

Go into Windows Media Player 11 with your player connected to the computer (it will automatically sync and add new files one last time), move the mouse cursor over to the sync tab; a small black arrow will appear under the word "Sync"; click on the small black arrow and a dropdown menu will appear; select "Portable media device" from the dropdown menu, and another dropdown menu will appear; select "Set Up sync"; a window will appear with some information on your device - uncheck the box that says "Sync this device automatically"; click Finish; This will eliminate the problem of Windows always adding/deleting songs/files you don't want into your player.
