Question about Pioneer PDP-5060HD 50 in. Plasma Television

Timer on television

I purchased a used television with no paperwork. There is a timer set to turn off the television and we have no idea how to change or get rid of the setting. The menu button on the remote doesn't work and we figured the settings would be accessed through there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I bought a Major Tech Mtd9 programmable timer but there are no instructions included, only features. I have no idea how to set the date and the timer. Say I want the light to switch on at 6PM and switch...

First press reset (use pen or paperclip). Press MOVE button until you get OFF at right bottom of screen, then press SELECT to select mode (to set time and date, to select on/off for the 2 timers or to select rundown timer. Use OK to move to different setting, eg. hour, minute, year, month day etc. Use SELECT to change up one digit at a time. Play around with buttons to change settings, for example to have timer on on a specific day of the week or everyday etc. When it is set, use move to change from OFF to AUTO, timer will then switch on and off at set times. Hope it helps

Model 6626lct turns picture off in ten minutes.

This can happen for 2 reasons. One is that some TVs are equipped with a set up that will turn the set off if no input source is detected ( cable, antenna etc...) Check all connections. The most likely cause is the TIMER settings. Use your remote to access your menu, then TV settings, then into Timer (sleep timer). Set the sleep timer function to off ( or "0" on and "0" off) This should do it.

THe clock has quit working can you purchase just the inside and not the box to save some money and then I don't have to pull it off the wall if you think that's the problem

You posted under T-104 Intermatic 240Volt timer.
Add a comment if you have different timer.

Before buying anything, click the manual override to see if Load turns on. If timer is not rotating and Load does not turn on, then check that you have electricity to timer. Clock won't work if timer has no electricity.

Here are some options:

1) Yes you can purchase the T-104 insides $88.

2) You can purchase whole timer and swap insides $70-$81.
If you have T-104R outdoor timer, you can swap insides using any T-104 timer

My local Lowes store has T104 on the shelf, but I don't remembet price.

3) You can buy the 240Volt clock motor and change it using a star screwdriver $16

How to turn the sleep timer off

You obviously don't have a menu button on the set itself. Unplug the unit and remove the back cover, this should expose the info you need unless it was placed on the outside and is now lost. Without TV model it will be difficult to get any helpful assistance. Good luck.

there is a timer that you can set to turn the tv off automatically. The timer settings is between 30 min. and 3 hours, maybe she has hit the timer button by mistake.

The tv timer won't turn off

Nope sorry my friend the timer does not have a function to no let the TV set turn on, It only hhas a function to turn off the set. You have another problem with the TV set I bet you 100% Sometimes someone will use the timer funtion to have the TV set turn off and then at turn off or even turn on a componet fails and goes bad. there is no way a TV timer will prevent the TV set from turning on. there is most likly a problem in the TV sets power supply or the sweep power supply. Have it checked out by a pro and they will tell you the same thing. Good guess though, but it does not simply work that way, Sorry. Good Luck
