Hi. I have a ricoh ft 4615. Heating is ok, gears moves as normal, each n every function is working but the print page is blank and displays U6. What might be the problem?

Try this:
Turn off the auto density
Go to manual density and adjust to the middle 50%
Try to run again and check your results
If none - you have to clean all the optics
Try again - if you don't get results there is a possible problem with the lamp/scanner system which usually requires someone making adjustments to one of the control boards.
Which brings you to contacting Ricoh for support - they are usually pretty good helping over the phone.

We have an error code that just started on our beloved copier from Ricoh. It is 54 E, can you tell me if this is the end of the line for our copier or is there still life in the old bird?

time to get rid of it. i am highly skilled in the repair of this dinosaur. that is a fuser code and 9 out of ten times the fusing thermister has failed and is a pain to replace. many times the thermister has rubbed a scratch in the hot roller. you do not want to see the bill for that replacement.however a few seldom times the code 54 can be a fluke and can be cleared out thru the clear code procedure listed below. yes it is ridiculous to do but easy once you know how. REMEMBER IN STEP THREE YOU ENTER "97" AS THE DESIRED SP NUMBER. good luck

Access Procedure 2 - Using DPS101-2

1. Turn the main switch off.

2. Remove the BACK rear cover AND EXPOSE THE MAIN BOARD. LOCATE DIPSWITCH 101 ALSO CALLED DPS101 AND PUSH UP THE NUMBER 2 SLIDE OF THE 4 SLIDES and turning on DPS101-2, then turn on the main switch. "5" will blink in the Copy Counter.

3. Enter the desired SP mode number IN THIS CASE " 97 "by the numeral keys. SP mode

numbers are given in the Service Program Mode Table.

4. Press the Auto Image Density key to view the data. IN THIS CASE INPUT A "1" AND PRESS AUTO IMAGE DENSITY KEY TO CONFIRM AND ENTER THE "1"

5. To leave SP mode, turn off DPS101-2.

NOTE: To cancel an already entered SP mode, press the Auto Image

Density key.

My richo ft4822 copier is now printing blank copies. Before this, image density was faint even if you set to maximum density.

Clean the optics and change the transfer/separartor corona wire.Verify the drum ground plate connection.

Ft 4415 ricoh flahing the magnigication indicator display

That means the machine is due for preventive maintenence, or PM. There is an internal counter that keeps track of the number of copies made. At a preset count, this indicator flashes. Kind of like "it's time for an oil change"
