Question about Washing Machines
Hi, my name is John, and I have a washing machine problem
I often get sitting water in my washing machine. It seems to drain fully after use but then a few days later it appears. Is this likely to come from inside the washer? If so is there anything I can do? I thought some waste water from the kitchen sink or dishwasher could go back down the washing machine waste causing the water to get back into the machine. Is this possible?
If it is dirty water then it sounds like it's coming from the sink if washing machine waste is plumbed to the sink make sure washing machine waste pipe is higher than the sink waste outlet if it is clean water then a new water valve is what's needed
