Dear Sirs / Madam

i understand it ,it is a problem with the cartridges.

there is not too many ways to clean a printer.you can wipe it out by hand

you can blow it out with air,
but it is not generally recommended as it can blow small materials into the components,
or the better solution is giving this HP 1215Printer to the authorized printer service dealer and get it serviced properly and installing the new Genunie HP 1215 catridges. The catridges are either
CP 1210 / Cp 1510 or CM 1300.

The best solution is if this HP Color laserjet printer is under warranty get it replaced from HP Dealer.

Am getting some smudging on my prints on my hp cp 1215. Is this a printhead problem? Any help would be appreciated...

This is a cartridge related issue. Open the front cover (pull back from top) and pullout the toner cartridge tray. Carefully remove toners one by one and clean the green rollers gently with a dry, lint free cloth. When you would remove the last yellow toner, look under the tray for any spilled toner and clean it (if any). you may need to repeat this process more than once.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

How do one correct print quality in hp color laser jet 2600n

Hi Good day!!
Follow this method hope it helps you!!

During the printing process, paper, toner and dust particles can accumulate inside the printer. Over time, this buildup can cause print-quality problems such as toner specks or smearing. This printer has a cleaning mode that can correct and prevent these types of problems.
This printer has two processes for generating cleaning pages: one is automatically generated and one is manually generated. When a new black print cartridge is installed, a cleaning page will be automatically generated prior to calibration.
Clean the fuser using HP Toolbox
NOTE: Use the following procedure to clean the fuser using the HP Toolbox. To clean the engine when the computer is running an operating system that does not support HP Toolbox, see the late-breaking Readme on the root of the CD-ROM, or visit http://www.hp.com/support/clj2600n .

1 Make sure that the printer is turned on and in the Ready state.

2 Open the HP Toolbox using one of the following methods.
*
On the Windows desktop, double-click the HP Toolbox icon.
* On the Windows Start menu, click Programs (All Programs in Windows XP), click HP , click HP Color LaserJet 2600n, and then click HP Color LaserJet 2600n Toolbox .

3 Click the Troubleshooting tab, and then Troubleshooting Tools .
4 Click the Print button next to step 1, "Click the "Print" button to print out the Cleaning Page."

5 Remove the Cleaning Page from the output bin, and load it printed side down in Tray 1.

6 Click the Clean button to complete the cleaning process. Press the GO button on the printer control panel. The Cleaning page will print, with a second page adhered to the first page. This is normal behavior during the cleaning process.

Cleaning spilled toner
Defective print cartridges can develop leaks. Also, after a paper jam has occurred, some toner might remain on the rollers and guides inside the printer. The pages that print immediately after the jam can pick up this toner.
CAUTION: When cleaning the printer, do not touch the ETB with a damp cloth or with fingers.
Cleaning the paper path
The device features a special cleaning mode to clean the paper path.
NOTE: If there is access to HP Toolbox, HP recommends cleaning the paper path by using HP Toolbox.
Clean the paper path

1. Use the (LEFT ARROW) or the (RIGHT ARROW) button to select Service, and then press (SELECT).

2. Use the (LEFT ARROW) or the (RIGHT ARROW) button to select Cleaning Mode, and then press (SELECT).
A page feeds through the printer slowly. Discard the page when the process is completed.

3. Load plain letter or A4 paper when prompted.

4. Press (SELECT) again to confirm and begin the cleaning process.
A page feeds through the printer slowly. Discard the page when the process is completed.

Calibrating the printer
Calibrations are performed at regular intervals. For best print quality, a calibration can be performed from the control panel using the following steps:
NOTE: This will calibrate the color and clean the black electrostatic transfer belt (ETB).

1 Use the (LEFT ARROW) or the (RIGHT ARROW) button to select System setup and then press (SELECT).

2 Use the (LEFT ARROW) or the (RIGHT ARROW) button to select Print quality and then press (SELECT). Calibrate color will display on the control panel.

Press (SELECT).

3 Use the (LEFT ARROW) or the (RIGHT ARROW) button to select Calibrate now and then press (SELECT).

4 Press (SELECT) to start the calibration.

Hp color laserjet 2600n is printing lighter on one side of paper. Where light is also printing shadows down paper of letters at top.

First of all you may have 1 or 2 things going on here. First of all the HP2600 series is prone to having the laser optics get toner dust on them which causes light prints usually on on side or the other. If your light print on one side is on black and all the colors then it may be the fusing unit. Another indicator of the fuser being the cause is the double imaging.....meaning something that is printed at the top of the page gets re-printed farther down the page. Does any of the print, especially on the double image/light side rub off? If so then it is definately the fuser. In case you don't know the fusing unit is the part that heats up and "fuses" the toner onto the paper. It is located right where the paper exits the machine. You can try a test for a fuser problem by printing something then shutting the printer off before the paper starts to exit the printer. Open up the printer and look at the sheet being printed. Is it light on the one side before it goes thru the fuser? If so then you need to clean the laser optics. If it is not lighter then this will prove the fuser is the cause. You can find the fuser units all over the net and they are easy to swap out. As far as the laser optics go you can try the basic cleaning yourself by removing the 4 toner cartridges. Behind these units you will see kind of a large black box with 4 evenly spaced "slots" running from side to side. Inside these slots is a plastic lens that the laser beam goes thru on it's way to the toner cartridges. Just take a cue tip/cotton swab and clean these 4 slots. Once clean just re-install the toners and test to see if the print quality issue is improved. Sometimes the whole laser box assembly must be removed, dis-assembled and cleaned. I recommend you hire someone to do this as it can get a bit much if you do not have experience with these machines.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Color toner is randomly deposited on the back of prints

Loose toner on the belt can be cleaned off with a clean dry rag, This can only be happening if the image is being put down and the paper isn't picking it up. I would look at the transfer belt as causing this, if the belt is not in suspect, the DC controller isn't appying the right bias to clean the belt and drums and would need to be replaced.
