my samsung L830 has jammed with the lens open and will not turn off or on.

If the lens on the camera is stuck out,
look to see if it's a little crooked. If it is, try to gently
straighten it. If it still won't retract, try to gently push it in as
you turn the power on.
If it won't turn on (the green light blinks and it beeps 3 times) push and hold the 'power' button and the 'play' button at the same time for a few seconds - it worked for my S730.

Just had this happen to my L100. First, take out the battery and wait a couple hours for everything to cool down and discharge. Then place the battery back in. Then plug the USB cord into the camera and PC. Then turn the camera on and it should be okay. Just worked for mine.

- P.S. - I also let the camera stay on for a couple hours to try to drain the battery too. Don't know if that will make a difference....Yes
