MOEN Motionsense Faucet Leaking????

Turn off the water valves beneath the sink. Cover the openings to both the drain and the garbage disposal. Use an allen wrench to remove the tiny screw holding the handle in place. Once the handle is removed, the leaking is most likely from the seams around the large plastic nut behind the metal-like plastic cover. You might be able to see water dripping from around the big nut. Remove the nut and wrap nylon plumber's tape (Costs probably around a buck at any hardware supply store) around the threads for a much better seal. Wrap the tape tight at least a couple of times around the threads.
Screw the nut back into place with your hand, then tighten with a wrench.

Place the cover back over the assembly, install the handle. You can apply clear nail polish on the threads of the tiny allen screw that holds the handle in place to minimize the risk of it coming loose and falling into your garbage disposal.

I have replaced my single handle bathroom faucet with a two handle moen model. The faucet continues to leak slightly even after the gentleman who installed it has come back repeatedly and tightened...

It doesn't happen very often but I have seen it a few times. The inside factory solder joints have a small leak and should be covered by moens factory warranty. It sounds to me like you have tried about everthing else. Best of luck. You might also trywww.moenfaucetrepair.net This is a useful sight and may help you.Thank you

My new moen faucet has been leaking since it was installed i have had 2 plumbers come out to try to fix it and after a day or so I find it is leaking again ! It seems to be leaking in more than one...

If you have had 2 plumbers (I'm assuming licensed) come and take a look at the issue, and they have not been able to fix it, I would suggest returning the sink to the store that you bought it from and getting it exchanged. I've seen many things come straight out of the box not working due to manufacturing defects. This could include a sharp piece of metal pressing up against seals, and as you use the faucet, they cut and wear the seals prematurely. I would recommend you get either a new faucet or get your money back. It seems to be an issue with the faucet itself.

Double check your installation. Is this a new shower Assembly? If so the parts that are with the new unit should work.
As far as the leak double check that any part that needs pipe tape is installed. Make sure everything is seated properly and is tight.
I am sure there are just a few simple oversights on the installation. Check the product sheets attached. All of them were downloaded from Moens site.

Good luck...Jim

My newly installed pop up Moen drain included with my new Moen Adler faucet model CAL84502, leaks past the rubber gasket that holds it up against the basin overflow drain. What can I do to stop this?

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your drain Dave. It might be as simple as tightening the nut another 1/8th of a turn. You've got to be careful here as the plastic parts for the drain can easily break if too much force is applied. Hand tighten only.

If tightening it up doesn't work then disassemble the pop up and look at the rubber washer. See if there are any signs on the washer that might tell you where it isn't sealing against the underside of the sink. Check the sink to ensure it is not cracked or chipped around the bottom of the drain. If everything looks fine then reassemble the drain and look again for leaks. It's possible something could have become trapped between the washer and sink allowing a capillary action to let water escape at this point. If the problem persists try using a little bit of plumbers putty with the washer as there could possible be a defect in the porcelin or steel of the sink drain allowing water to escape. Let me know if the problem persists and we'll have another go at it.

We have a moen 85730. A plumber installed it. We

take the handle off and pull the spout off and there should be 2 o rings around the shaft , you will want to put tons of grease on those o rings and that should solve your problem. if it doesnt call moen 1800 buy moen and ask for a new spout o ring kit they should send it out to you for free!
