are you talking about the old Model 11 which is a copy of Browning A-5? more details would help. But it probably has a solid rib (amazingly, those were machined in one piece with the barrel, not soldered on). Many have had barrel problems. Look closely at yours, especially for pitting in the bore and bulging at muzzle.
The model 11 remington shotgun was produced from 1905-1949 when it was changed to the 11-48 dating your shotgun to exact year MAY be possible if theres a date code on the barrel left side ,,this would proably be a 2 letter code.. and should be near the point where the barrel meets the receiver. Without it it's anybody's guess.
condition means the most for values but you can pickem up for a average between 200-350. for insurance purposes 400 if in good working order.
Model 11?
Remington Year of Manufacture Codes maybe found on the barrel of your Remington rifle [or shotgun] on the left side, just forward of the receiver; the first letter of the Code is the month of manufacture, followed by one or two letters which are the year of manufacture. For shotguns with removeable barrels, the code will be valid for the manufacture of the barrel; maybe for the receiver, as barrels do get switched around.

As maybe seen, the year code letters duplicate; some knowledge of when the model was introduced should resolve the actual year of manufacture.

Miracle Maid Instruction booklets can be found on ebay. I've seen them several times, in fact there are several on today 7/29/2009. Just go to ebay.com and search for Miracle Maid. You may have to search daily, but you'll find them. You'll have to pay a little, but you can send in all your pots and pans and get replacements with one of those books. I had my pots and pans for 30+ years and now I have the new ones that replaced those. I'm thinking they will last 30 years too! Good Luck!
