If it is not the drain line, this could also be a vlave or if you have a new garbage disposal you have to punch out a peice of the plastic on it before it will drain.

Whirlpool dishwasher F8 E1 error

You have a blockage in the drain line someplace. If you have a garbage disposer, check to see that it is clear where the dishwasher connects to it. Also check and make sure that the drain hose is higher then the inlet to the disposer to prevent water draining back into the drain line from the disposer. If that's clear you have a blockage somewhere in the drainline. Best to unit from cabinet and check it

Dishwasher has about 2" of

Is your drain line clear? It feeds into your sink drain and if there is any blockage it can prevent a good drain. Is the drain line as straight as possible? Make sure the bottom of the dishwasher is free of debris (food, paper from labels, etc; plastic pieces) . To be safe you can take a long handles brush and scrub around the center of the drain area to dislodge any materials. Also, a white vinegar rinse will sometimes help remove debris and clean the interior of the washer. 1/2 cup white vinegar in the tub and then begin the cycle. If none of these remedies help, it might be the pump or the timer.

Water left in the bottom of dishwasher after cycle was complete

If the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check these:
  1. Drain line/air gap--A clog in this part is the usual reason that a dishwasher doesn't drain. Remove the drain line to clear any debris from the hose or hose connection at the household drain line connection. Reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.
  2. Pump--You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher. Remove the lower rack, spray arm and support. Look for an impeller, a device that spins around and forces water through the spray arm. This is the wash impeller and beneath it is the drain impeller that pushes the water into the drain port. Replace it if found defective or worn out.
  3. Drain valve/solenoid---The drain valve may have a solenoid with lever that sticks or frozen and prevents the dishwasher from draining. Free up the solenoid and lubricate the lever.
  4. Belt---A certain brand of dishwasher uses a belt to drive the pump. Replace it if broken or worn out.
  5. Motor---Check it if turning or working.Turn the rotor manually to see if stuck and free it up. Replace if defective, it is not serviceable.

Water leaking from dishwasher lg model lds5811ww

The drain line is clean. Have you checked to make sure the the rest of the drain is clear all the way down to the main drain?. Also check the pump to make sure that it is working properly, it might be pumping water in, but it may not be wanting to pump the water out

Water drains thru the vent

If water flows from the vent, it indicates some type of blockage in the drain line downstream of that point. You can rent something called a "Drain Snake", which will require you to take apart the drain line to clear the obstruction, or you make purchase some liquid drain cleaner and see if that will clear the problem.
Hope this helps,

Kermit

Standing Water in Dishwaaser

Since water doesn't drain out ,it could be a clogged in the drain line. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. You should remove this line and clear it form any debris in the hose or the hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again. Good luck!

Water Will not Drain

It could be cause the water level switch. The level switch is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with your machine, but if you will open the rear panel you will find it easily. Clear tube from any obstruction. Good luck !
