Usb is not working in any computer



click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers


if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports(com&lpt)right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem


check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts

Does this motherboard automatically recognize and configure the CPU, or does it have to be done manually?


automatic to a point,, its only if the processor isnt recgonised you need to configure the clockspeeds, this can be done via the Jumper on the pain board or via the cmos if it boots..

You need to install the camera to your computer for it to be recognized by computer. Also check your USB cable if properly connected/inserted.

I have a samsung r60 and when i put in a cd with my pictures on it does not recgonise it now and the amber light does not come on Help please

USB device not recgonised by windows computer


  • If the port is disabled you get this problem .
  • Go to Run and type "Devmgmt.msc" and press Enter.

  • Go to Universal Serial bus Controller. See if there are any red colored cross? If yes, right click and enable those USB Ports
  • Try with other ports .
