Has sound. Why does picture go out after 2 seconds?

If you can quickly get to menu before picture goes blank, then go picture / backlight / set backlight to minimum and it will work fine.

check the oscillator

My Westinghouse SK-32H240S television fails showing picture. Only sound can we hear but no picture.

This more then likely a back light inverter board issue! It can be intermittent or just black an non responsive.

THIS IS USUALLY THE MAIN TOTAL ASSY OR THE PANEL IS BAD.

Mine did the same but no picture, just sound every few seconds for 1-2 seconds. I unplugged from the wall for 10 seconds and plugged back in, works fine now.
