Dont not pick up freeview channels - Samsung LE40B650T2 40 in. Full HD Crystal LCD TV

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM BUT LAST NIGHT I PLACED THE TV NEAR THE FREEVIEW BOX AND THE TV JUST PICKED UP THE SIGNAL.A DIGITAL CHANNEL AT THAT ASWELL.NEAR PERFECT IMAGE.I DONT KNOW HOW THIS COULD BE ADAPTED TO USE THE PORTABLE AWAY FROM OFF THE FREEVIEW BOX.ANY SUGGESTIONS?

U have more than one tv?Yes.Tries check on the other tvs see if u have channel 82 freeview channel,freeview channels are take out or add on all the times by the tvs stantions broadcasting listing.If yes channel 82 is on the other tvs.Than u have low or weak antena signal.U have a analoge antena probally correct?Buy and install a digital antena,u will get a stronger longer ranges tvs incomming broadcasting chaanels tvs stations.Rescan for channels again,u will pick up channel 82 if it still on the air.

You have to retuen your receiver or TV to pick up the reallocated channels.

U have an out door antena?Rescan channels in the menu?Buy a digital antena get better signal,but still must rescan channels to get every channels.

Sorry to say no it wont not unless the Tv set manuel says it has a Duel Freeview feed , you have to get another freeview box for the recorder .
besides If you used the freview in the tv 1 , the tv would have to be on when you wanted to record ?. and 2 you couldnt watch another channel whilst recording another .. only 1 tuner ?. also you could only record the program you had on .at the time no timer facility .
People are still used to the Old system of VHs and the fact that all videos had tuners built in so you could watch and record .. It will come and indeed some more modern DVD recorder have freeview built in again sorry but thats the facts , and dont forget if you want the pay per view channels on free view your going to need a tuner with a pay card port ... The cable & wireless system is not capable of picking up the digital freeview frequencies.
Idealy you need to put a new aerial on the roof,
If this is not possible try an indoor aerial that you to plug in to the mains electrical supply.

hi, did you find a solution? i have in built freeview and have bought a recorder but i cant pick up any freeview channels on it. the dvd recorder is a Wharfedale DVDRHD400 cheers tom
