If you turn electric off to unit, you can take thermostat off wall and inspect wiring. It sounds as if yo may have a short in the low voltage wiring. Each wire has to be totally secured. If there is nothing obvious make notation of where each wire goes to, then remove wires, there should be wires designated r g y twist these conductors together in a wire nut and then turn the breaker back on, if the unit runs properly you need to change out your thermostat. If it still has the same problem you may have a short in your thermostat wiring. If you have enough wire you can (turn electric off)cut back a couple inches and restrip the wire the way it was, and reattach to thermostat. The transformer is probably still good if it comes on sometimes. But you may need to check the other end of themostat wire, take off plastic shroud up above and trace where wire goes and inspect, reconnect if anything looks loose. Good luck and be safe, always de-energize to work on.

I have a duo therm ac unit on 2003 gbm f53 fan only works in the on position not in the auto also unit will not shut at stat only with breaker any clue

First you may check the t-stat settings if its a digital tstat. Some t-stats need to be "set up" for your unit. The configuration of the t stat may be for a gas furnace (which controls its own blower) and you may need it to be configured for an electric (heat&cool) unit which the t-stat controls the blower operation. As for the non stop operation that could be a normally open switching relay that is stuck closed. Or numerous other situations. Can't help much there.

"Check drain" light is on

If the float switch is indicating a full drain pan, the light will be on and the compressor and fan will not run. Make sure the dehumidifier is installed level and the condensate drain is open allowing the drain pan to empty. Next check that the float is free to move up and down and the switch operates a required. Call the manufacturer at 1-800-533-7533 for parts and instructions if there is a problem wirh the float switch.

I have a 2005 Pilgram 27 foot 5th wheel. My Duo Therm AC unit makes a ticking sound from the ac unit itself when it's not running. Shutting off the Duo Therm analog thermostat does not stop the ticking...

It's obviously on the 12voltDC circuit of the AC unit. Sounds like thermostat, or a relay in control box is faulty or bad connection. If you remove cover on ceiling assy., you should be able to hear it in the control box. There should be a model number on the ceiling assy., get back to me with that number and I can better pinpoint which relay. Also, try moving all thermostat buttons and temperature controls back and forth quickly to see if it may clean off a dirty circuit in thermostat as well. Make sure your AC hydro breaker is off when working with ceiling assy. just to be safe.

Duo Therm AC won't cut off with thermostat

Hi, sounds to me like the thermostat is at fault. You have done nothing wrong to it but cover it up. The t-stat is what controls it, turns it on and off. The only other thing that would keep it on all the time would be that the thermostat wiring could be touching together from the stat up to the unit. You might check that before replacing stat. I have seen this many times. You can start the unit and go up top and disconnect the stat wire and it should stop the unit. Then its either the wire or stat.Let me know what you find,

Overheating boiling over, cant find therm stat location on discovery model

Find where the Upper Radiator hose connects to the block. That is usually where you find the Thermastat. 2 to 3 bolts hold the cover in place. You need new Therma stat, a new seal, and the tools to remove and install the part.

Crazy Heat

I think that I would change out the thermostat only due to the symptoms you are describing. Think the control board may be fine however, the thermostat sounds as if the internal componants are going out. Good luck on your repairs

Relaced thermostat and therma fuse, now dryer is tooo hot

Sound like the thermostat is not working bud first check and double check the thermostat is connected properly and the wires are on correctly (not mixed up)and check the stat probe or bulb is in the correct place to pick up heat(assumeing that the stat is not a energy switch wich has no bulb)If you are not sure where the wires go there should be a diagram on the inside of the back panel or go on line to the manufacturer site and get one from them,

Hope this is of some assistance
