Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
I fixed it!, take the console apart and locate the chip on the oposite side of the motherboard to the a-b-x-y buttons, get a soldering iron, make sure the end is spotless and clean with excess solder, wipe the tip clean again, place the tip of the iron on the pins of the chip, then quickly feed your solder into the iron near to the pins, move quickly across all the pins, you'll find it you've done it right the solder will only stick to the pins and none should be joined up, if they do simply clean the iron again, and repeat putting the iron on the pins and add new solder, don't hang around on the pins long, as you'll damage the chip, literally as soon as the solder melts against the iron your done. This solved my power out problem instantly. Email me if you want me to do it for you ploppybaxATbtinternetDOTcom

Possible also that you have blown one of the fuses on the main board. Fix can be found at http://www.m3wiki.com/index.php/Nintendo_DS_Lite_:_Repair_a_broken_console_(blown_fuse). I believe F2 is a 0.5A 32VDC 0603 packaged fuse.

Possibility that flex cable from top LCD screen, which passes through right-hand hinge, has become damaged, torn or has slightly pulled out of its connector socket.
