Schematics were never offered for the XTN and CP100 line of radios. You may have a speaker or volume potentiometer issue. Check both of these items. If this is not the issue then your radio is possibly non-repairable. Low Rx volume is known to occur on some XTNs, usually in conjunction with running the radio at full volume for extended periods of time. This low Rx volume issue can be corrected about 50% of the time by a qualified service center.

I couldnt here voice of other side person, even if i increase the volume while call is going on.

Hello, its not a volume problem you are experiencing, its a ear piece problem.all you need to do is to get another ear piece from a mobile phone accessories stores that's if you are technically inclined, but if not,I would advice you visit a mobile phone authorized technician.
The problem you facing occured duely because your ear piece has bursted due to either maximum increase in ear phone volume.
Wish you good luck,
Take care.

What is dynamike gain cotrol on a cobra cb radio

Dynamike Gain Control varies the microphone sensitivity. When set fully clockwise, it is very sensitive - and will be able to "hear" background noises easily. This position also can cause your voice to be distorted or garbled when approaching maximum under the right conditions as well as causing "bleed over" to adjacent channels. When set to minimum, you will need to speak clearly and directly into the microphone to be heard. Most people find a setting somewhere in the middle works best.

You should adjust the level to suit those that are listening to you by asking them if it sounds OK. This prevents them from having to turn their volume down whenever you speak. In a "one-to-one" conversation it is not as noticeable. The trouble comes when 3 or more are conversing. The third person's audio may be low or normal - and the listeners set their radio's volume so that they can hear that person easily. Then you transmit with booming mic audio and everyone scrambles to turn down the volume to save their ears / speakers. This can be very frustrating for the others having to constantly adjust the radio volume whenever you speak.

I hope this helps and good luck. Please rate my reply - thanks.

I have a HT1000 with a remote shoulder mic and a attached 3.5 listen only ear piece. How do I adjust down the volume of the identifier alert tone when I key up the mic. The volume control works for general...

In the programming software their is a field that allows you to either turn off the alert tones or make them lower then your volume level. Most of the time if any of my customers are using a ear bud or headset I turn off all of of the "beeps". Michael

Have the volume control to be repaired, they a cellphone repair shop. If they can't... suggest to bypass the volume controls to its maximum control and buy an earphone that has volume control on it.
