Where can I find a replacement chuck key for a Delta 11-950 bench press?

No you don't have to buy Delta's chuck key. MOST drill press chuck keys are very similar but if you do order another companies key and it doesn't fit, you may be stuck with it. If you have a local tool repair center that carries keys you can try one and if it don't work, return it.
The Delta part number for your chuck key is 1313104. It is avaliable from Dewalt (they own Delta) on their service website at http://servicenet.dewalt.com. You can also get it at aftermarket sites like www.ereplacementparts.com for only $11 plus shipping.

Need a chuck key for a Duracraft model 500, chuck labelled 13MM

that is a 1/2 chuck but you would also need to know the pilot hole size and then you can go to any hardware store (Lowes, Home Depot) and buy a replacement. Check to see if the chuck has a name on it like Jacobs or something similar but I don't think there is anything special. A ROHM chuck does however take a funny looking key.

I recently got a RIDGID drill Press DP15000 The previous owner has lost the chuck key and I am having problems re ordering a replacement. Can you use any alternative to open the chuck. Hardware store...

Ridgid is sold exclusively at Home Depot. They should carry replacement chuck keys for it. If not they can order it for you. They also make an universal chuck key, looks like a X and has 4 of the most common sizes on it.

Have a skil 597 T8 thats lost its grip - is it neccy to change the chuck - and if so can I replace the chuck with one that can open far enough to accept some larger bits?

I couldn't find your particular drill model drill. If this is a corded drill with a 1/4 inch chuck, you would do better to just buy a corded 3/8 drill. But otherwise, yes, change the chuck if you can find one to fit at a reasonable price. Drill chucks are sized to hold a straight bit of the maximum hole diameter that the drill has enough torque to drill into mild steel. If you find a larger one that will fit on your drill, it will work fine, but if you overload it you will burn it out. If you don't drill into steel with any larger bit than the original chuck, then this won't be a problem.

3/8 Drill Driver, chuck replacement.

hi friend,
Step 1. Determine what kind of replacement drill chuck you want - a keyed chuck or key less chuck. Over the years, key less chucks have been widely used for handheld power tool drills, due to their improving grip torque and convenience.

Step 2. If you prefer replacement key less chucks, then you have to know what type of key less chuck you will need - a single sleeve key less chuck or a double-sleeve chuck. You can simply determine it by checking your current chuck. If your current chuck is a keyed chuck or a double sleeve chuck, then you will need a replacement double-sleeve key less chuck. On the other hand, if your current chuck is a single sleeve chuck, then you should get a replacement single sleeve chuck.

Step 3. Confirm the threaded mount size (spindle size) on the chuck. 3/8"-24 threaded mount for 3/8" capacity drill chucks and 1/2"-20 threaded mount for 1/2" capacity drill chucks, but there are some exceptions where just the opposite may occur. To be safe, always check the threaded mount before you buy replacement drill chucks.

My chuck is broke , on my 18v makita cordless drill , how do i fix it

Put the chuck key on and strike it with a hammer counter clockwise. the chuck key must be properly seated in the hole. Once the chuck is brokrn free, you can unscrew it my hand. Buy a new chuck an screw it in olace and againm strike the key but no as hard clockwise. It will self tighten more as it is used, Good Luck-Ned-
