Have you tried getting can air and blowing your air vents to make sure nothing is clogged with dust. then you can make sure you can hear the fan running. Also try running diagnostics on it. Also it is not like a pc that will get all dirty inside, about the only place that gets dirty is the air vents. you can go to the dell site and they will post some of the directions for opening your laptop but you could be voiding the Warranty on it if you do.

After about 10 minutes, everything completely shuts down . I expect a heat sync problem? what do you think?

I think you're right. Sounds as if the system is overheating. Check the fan is working. If it is, you will probably need to open the case and clean out all the vents & the fan. Remove the heatsink, clean off old thermal paste and renew before replacing the heatsink

I have dell inspiron 1525 laptop , i am recently facing the problem that laptop hinges are shaking 5 to 10 mm front and back . other than this everything hardware and software are fine

the hinges screw into the laptop case. They've probably come loose through normal wear. You'll have to open the laptop case and tighten the hinge mounting screws. View or download the service manual at the following link:

The service manual will show you how to disassemble the laptop so you can get to the hinge mounting screws. Look under "Display"-->"Display Assembly" in the manual.

Back side panel too heat producing.restarting every 1 hour once .

I had the same problem, but after removing dust from the inside it works just fine. Although the fan was working it prevented cooling. I recommend trying that first, there's a manual at the dell-page how to open it, and it really needs just a cleaning

My daughter spilled furniture oil on her dell laptop with it open. The screen is now a little screwy. Can we clean the oil off with alcohol-if we can get to the back of the screen?

You can try. It depends on where the oil managed to infiltrate.
You find detailed instructions on how to disassemble the 1525 on the Dell support site: enter your assistance code (in the BIOS, or below the unit) or just search for Inspiron 1525. From there, seek "Service Manual", and go to the LCD Replacement section. Problem is, you can't access the "rear" of the screen that you see, and the oil might have damaged the plastics. Anyway, you can clean the screen with window cleaning liquid or plastics detergent once you disassemble it and place on a hard surface to keep it from bending and see what happens.
Let me know how it goes, and have a nice day.

Dell inspirion 1525 switches off automatically, due to over heat. How to avoid this. I have cleaned the fan duct but no use. The onboard chips are burning like the sun.Plz help

Assuming of course the fan works -- is the air from the ducts really hot?

If not, the heat sink is probably not working. This is a heatpipe design, and two things can go wrong with it. One (most common) is that the thermal paste between heatpipe copper plates and chips dried, flaked off, or is otherwise no longer good. You need to disassemble the heatpipe, clean copper plate and chips with isopropyl alcohol, and apply thermal paste (e.g. Arctic Silver). You find a detailed disassembly of an Inspiron, albeit a slightly different model, here:

The second thing that might have gone wrong is the heatpipe itself. If it got pierced or leaked, it is no longer good and will have to be replaced, either at Dell or searching a working heatpipe of the same make and model on eBay or similar.

Please help me i forget bios password in my laptop dell model is 1525 how can i open it

To reset the BIOS password in your Dell Inspiron 1525 you would first need to disassemble the laptop and remove the CMOS battery for 30 seconds and put it back in. You can do this by following the service manual below provided by Dell.

Please be aware that this will take some technical knowledge to do, making a mistake here can be fatal to the operation of your system. I urge you, if you are not comfortable following any of these steps, take it to a local professional.

If possible could you check output voltage of the charger with a multimeter? If you can get output voltage, then might be something wrong with laptop battery charging circuit. Contact Laptop Repairing Engineer.
