Did you try to reinstall the EZ software? perhaps you accidentally removed (a part of) a program.
Then try to restor the data again.

Harrie's answer certainly is simpler than mine and one I would try before walking the plank and trying to uninstall Microsofts Visual C++ Libraries and then downloading the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86). The result could get scary because trying to do a clean boot of Windows 7 afterwards could involve a step that where you might shut down the service for your NTI software. Duh! And all in an attempt to avoid software conflicts! And you might not even find the 2010 Package mentioned above! This is the kind of solution you try when you are thinking it is time to get a new computer because you might have to pray you can restore from a backup. This is definitely a try at your own risk idea you probably know better than to do. But you asked for ideas. Clean boots of Windows 7 are a little different from the successors.
