It wont charge!!!!! (lg cookie kp500)

The problem might lye within the charger of the mobile phone. make sure the charger is inserted firmly into the walk socket. make sure the end of the charger is dusted off.

try to use the charger on another phone to see if works, if it does it means its not the charger.

then try to remove the battery and reinstall it, the try to charge again with phone off.

or you can try another charger on the phone, if it doesn't charge it must be the charging connection port on the phone that has a problem.

lg does that, it's a bug, whether or not the battery is empty

what you need to do is unplug the charger if connected, remove the battery (a minute or so) then place it back. it should work then

you can charge it again if the battery is low

You need to re-update (FLASH) Bios. It must have got corrupted. The worst part is that there is no support from LG

try buying a new charger

I have the KP501, too. Well, as I know, there is no difference between KP500 and KP501...it's the same OS...My Cookie doesn't want to turn on. When I try to turn on the phone it shows just the LG logo, more not. A few seconds later it turns automatically off and than 3 seconds later it turns on again....I don't know how is this happening...searching for help!!! please help me.... :S

This could be either a hardware problem of software.

Try this and see if this works - visit http://www.lge.com/uk/support/index.jsp which is LG's support site and download the software for your network and see if this reboots the handset.

Failling that I would recommend booking it in for repair at lgrepair.co.uk or visiting your local CPW for a free repair.

Try taking the battery out of the back of the phone.

You can also do an inexpensive work around.

Buy an external battery charger and an extra battery. This will give you the ability to charge the kp500 battery separate. The extra battery will ensure you always have one charging and ready to go.
