Question about Televison & Video
This sounds like a solder problem this can be hard to find yourself and probably would need a pro to look at it it should be cheap to repair and should just be a case of resoldering the bad solder hope this is some help to you if the infra red display flashes then it probably a problem in the low voltage area but it can be hard to find the prob without a resistance meter and these are not cheap to buy so i would let a pro look at it for you hope this is some help.........................................
