Question about Mitsubishi WS-55809 55" Rear Projection Television
I have taken the back off of this, cleaned everything and cant find out what is wrong. My TV is having a "bow tie" affect and the colors are off on the outsides of the screen but the middle is a perfect picture. The left side seems to be the worst though. I looked at the convergence components from above and everything looks soldered. Maybe i need to take the board out and look at the soldering from underneath maybe. Can anyone help me with this problem?
Sounds like you are having a convergence error.
What you could do is either replace the TV or have some wires/circuits/boards replaced.
Shop around for prices.
If you're lucky you'll find someone willing to do a free estimate, as replacing anything on these will set you back a few hundred...at least.
Hopefully, in your case, the problem can be solved by tightening a screw or two.
